This role is a full on design and development engineer role, working within the automotive sector.

You will support the design and development activities related to Advanced Pump Development and Production Support for a range of diesel fuel injection pumps.

Duties will include:-

• The design and development of diesel fuel injection system components
• Devising and executing tests on fuel injection equipment rigs, engines and vehicles to improve technical understanding.
• The interpretation of test data using analytical tools
• To design and prepare 3D models using Solidworks
• To prepare detailed engineering drawings using geometric dimensioning and tolerance practices.
• To assess designs using DFMEA methods

Candidates must possess a degree within an engineering related subject (or equivalent). If you have experience of working with high pressure hydraulic and electromechanical systems this would be advantageous.

Strong communication skills are a must to be able to liaise with internal teams as well as external clients.
