General Manager General Operations Logistics

Middlesex - Feltham
Up to £70000 per annum


Operations - Heathrow

Reports to:

Head of Middle Office (HMO)

1. Purpose of the Job:

To deploy the strategic business plan for the Group and ensure

the plan is delivered through operational excellence ensuring retention and development existing business

To be responsible for the complete operation of Heathrow (Skyline) including, but not limited to, Warehouse, Transport, Operations and general site requirements

Operating and managing a 24/7/365 site and all the requirements this needs.

2. Key Activities:


Setting of Budgets

Ensuring full site compliance at all times

Question and promote ideas for change by constant review

Ensuring revenues are secured for all work completed

Ensuring all staff training is complete and up to date

Compliance of all standard core KPI's

Effective communication

Ensure high quality customer service

Engender good relationships with the Global Network

Ability to work under pressure

Ability to make informed decisions, regardless of outcome

The General Site Manager will have a team of department managers within Heathrow that operate and manage their own functions that will report into this position. However complete and final responsibility sits with the General Site Manager.

As this is a senior role the expectation is that you will have the confidence to engage and work with staff levels below and above your level to discuss and deliver continued improvement.

3. Key Competencies:

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate your ability to achieve and then exceed, in areas such as Gross Margin Improvement, Process Review, Overhead Cost Control, Staff Motivation, Customer Service, Warehouse Management and all areas of Compliance



A high standard of both written and verbal communications are essential along with a full understanding of financial reporting - ideally to degree level but we will consider all applicants


Professional Experience

Minimum 10 years experience to include Operations, Transit & Logistics Warehouse Management

Management of Budgets, People and Processes essential
