HR Go Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated part-time, fixed-term contract Functional Skills Tutor for a college and skills centre in Deal!

Your main duties as a Functional Skills Tutor would be to ensure lessons are well planned and are able to progress students in their learning, with higher expectations of learner achievement in mind. However, you would also need to be respectful of the differences between students and be able to engage with parents regarding their progress. You must also be able to produce and continuously update the work you are presenting to the students in accordance with the curriculum, inspection, and guidance from the DfE.

Requirements for the Role:

• Hold a teaching qualification and be comfortable teaching higher education, ages ranging from 14 to 19 years old.
• Be able to work part time - 3 days a week, Monday to Wednesday: a minimum of 22 hours a week.
• Capable of teaching Functional Skills from Entry level to level 2 in Maths and English.
• Have a comfortable and confident presence in the classroom, teaching and supporting students who have complex needs and behaviours.
