Our client is an innovative and award-winning architecture practice based in Central Somerset, offering bespoke design solutions and services to a wide range of domestic and commercial clients across the UK.
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced, self-motivated finance professional to join our business administration team. This is a part time role (16 hours a week preferably over 3 days) with responsibility for oversight of all Company finances and accounting requirements and whilst supported by the practise manager there will be key areas of autonomy, therefore previous experience in this field is essential. You must be able to work well as part of a team and be confident in communicating with all levels of the business together with client interactions.
The Role
Preparation and submission of all HMRC related requirements including VAT returns, corporation tax and PAYE.
Oversight of payroll for compliance
Forecasting and management of the company cashflow and annual budgets
Production and reporting of Financial Management Information including P&L & KPI's to Practice Manager and Directors as required
Complete payroll year-end and produce P60s
Assist in the preparation of annual accounts
Companies House confirmation statement filing
Ensure that the business is operating within financial regulations

Possess strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Be an effective communicator and able to develop good working relationships at all levels.
Is a flexible, reliable and enthusiastic team player.
Well organised self-starter, committed to getting the job done.
PC literate with strong Excel skills and experience with an accounting system, ideally Xero.
Ability to work on own initiative, prioriste workloads and work within tight deadlines.
Will be experienced working in a busy environment.
AAT qualified or another recognised Accounting qualification and/or experience running accounts for an SME
