HRGO Sussex are looking for a Finance Manager to work for a local engineering and manufacturing company. This company has grown substantially in recent years and have a strong market position both in the UK and Internationally. Reporting to the FD you will take full responsibility for the financial administration and processes within the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Management Accounting - provide daily, weekly, monthly, annual and ad hoc MI as required to understand and manage the business. Financial Accounting - maintain integrity of accounts including up to date reconciliations. Manage day-to-day financial operations within the company i.e. cash flow management, payroll, invoicing, and other transactions. Track the company's financial status and performance identifying areas for potential improvement to reduce costs and improve efficiencies. Undertake cost analysis of opportunities to produce detailed reports, financial models and plans to assist the business in making strategic decisions. Develop relationships with Group FD and external advisors / auditors as required. Assist with the planning and upkeep of stock controls. Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders and management team. Manage projects including moving the accounts from Quickbooks to Sage, improved Group Reporting, review of credit card payments. Manage, motivate and develop other staff in finance dept. Essential Requirements: Part or fully Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience Excellent excel skills - pivot tables, vlookup etc Experience of small company pc-based accounting software i.e. QuickBooks or Sage Communicate effectively at all levels and operate as a part of the management team Desired requirements: Payroll experience Knowledge of working within an engineering / manufacturing /process environment Experience of International trading and handling foreign transactions Experience of multi- site operations We endeavour to respond to all applications; however, due to the large volume this isn't always possible.
