Finance Administrator

HRGO are recruiting for an experienced Finance Administrator on behalf of our client in Cheadle, Stockport. Working for a fast-growing company in a busy and supportive team environment, our prestigious client are seeking someone to join their Finance team. Your duties will be varied and will include: * Creating financial reports for customers and other departments within the business * Assisting with the implementation of departmental procedures * Working alongside the Head of Finance when required * Authorisation and set up of new customer accounts * Assisting with general customer and supplier finance queries * Performing various admin duties including dealing with group mailboxes and data input The specific duties you will required to carry out are, but not limited to: * Create and distribute monthly statistics and invoices for corporate and buying groups * Calculate and report on monthly net sales to be used for sales commission payments * Create monthly group spend reports for sales department * Authorise and add new customer accounts to the system * Allocate customer payments and request remittances when required * Gather information for and assist Head of Finance with year-end accounts, audit & various projects * Assist with preparation of Monthly Management Accounts * Cover the purchase ledger and credit control responsibilities when required * Implement departmental procedures, I.e. Purchase Order Processing system * Monitor the Finance mailboxes; responding to queries in a timely manner and ensuring the response is accurate and in line with procedure * Skills and Qualifications: * Accounts experience with accounting software including QuickBooks and/or SAP * Computer skills, including Advanced Excel and pivot tables are essential * Previous experience working in a finance environment managing processes & controls * Working towards or holding an Accounting qualification would be advantageous but not essential * 5 GCSEs including Math and English or equivalent * Knowledge of currency calculations would be advantageous * Comfortable interpreting a P&L and balance sheet * Ability to work to and manage strict deadlines * The utmost confidentiality when handling sensitive information * Solid communication skills, both written and verbal. * Strong Analytical Skills Attributes: * Ambitious and driven, able to work on your own initiative * Work well in a team * Have excellent Organisational Skills. * Must have the ability to work well under pressure. * Superior attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors. * Willingness to learn and take on new tasks * Ability to adapt well to new systems and be a quick learner To apply for this role, please send an up to date CV to sharon.bartholomew@hrgo.co.uk or for further information call 07795 813319.
