Job Description - Factory Caretaker

1. Main Tasks for the Position

* Empty waste receptacles in factory and offices daily.

* General cleaning / housekeeping as required.

* To monitor stock levels of consumable items such as toiletries, cups etc. and arrange to replenish supplies.

* Plumbing - To arrange to clear blockages, remove foreign matter from sinks, toilets etc.

* Maintenance of fixtures and fittings, examples: change light bulbs, painting of walls, minor repairs.

* To ensure that drains, roof gullies etc. are kept free from debris and that the site and grounds are litter free.

* To be responsible for ensuring clear and safe pedestrian access to the site particularly in adverse weather
conditions (e.g., gritting).

* To keep the skip / waste area in tidy condition.

* To deliver and collect goods from local vicinity.

* To assist with the weekly Fire Alarm test.

* To ensure that the outside of the facility is always presentable.

Occasional Duties:
* Assist in other areas of Production to cover absence.

* Deliveries and collections from London showroom.

Notes:

. Skills & Knowledge
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Practical skills in general maintenance and cleaning.
* Full UK driving license essential

The job holder must be able to display practical experience, be honest, courteous, organised, self motivated, dependable and flexible with a strong work ethic.
4. Terms & Benefits
* 40 hours per week (Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-2pm)
* Salary: Negotiable DOE
* Holiday: 21 days per annum plus bank holidays (increasing with length of service)
