The position of the Facilities Support Operative involves assisting with the general day to day running of a large private estate based in Bishops Stortford.

The varied nature of the role means that no day will be the same. Dealing with members of the public, keeping the premises tidy and clean, the role also involves more repairs so someone good with their hands would be beneficial.

The successful candidate will need to be able to deal and help with any task asked of them. Full clean driving licence is essential.

Main Responsibilities

• General support cleaning, maintenance and support duties around the estate

• Support of any area or department as directed by the line manager

• Support Caretaker with any operational requirements of the estate

• Delivery of post, stores materials and other goods around around the estate

• Operate any machinery in accordance with instructed

• Comply with instructions relating to security and confidentiality

• Assist with the simple redecoration of any areas

• Carry out minor repairs to equipment and furniture as directed

• Clear & manage grounds of seasonal weather affects: leaves, snow, ice, moss and detritus

• Carry out periodical clean tasks as asked when required

• Operating and complying with site security procedures

This role will evolve over time. A flexible approach to all aspects of this role is essential.

40 hours a week on a shift rotation (some weekends will be required to work)
