My client is a well known manufacturing business based in Sheffield. Ever increasing orders mean that they are looking to add a Facilities Manager to their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for direct and pro-active intervention to ensure the building is maintained to a high standard and that potential future issues are identified and resolved.

You will also be responsible for the management of the working environment, services, equipment, and processes to support the effective running of the business premises and the operational effectiveness of the firm.

Duties include (but not limited to):

• Implementing and maintaining systems
• Organising meetings and events
• Liaising with employees at all levels, including senior management
• Ensuring supplies and resources are stocked and replenished
• Assisting HR with organising and carrying out new starter inductions
• Implementing health and safety procedures
• Managing building facilities (maintain condition and organise repairs)
• Liaising with contractors and surveyors
• Coordinating projects
• Update handbooks
• Desk Risk Assessments
• Covid Risk Assessments
• Book courses for employees
• Interview new employees

About you:

• Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage
• Previous leadership experience is desirable (though not essential).
• Health & Safety qualification desirable (though not essential)
• Highly organised
• Strong Communication skills
