We're looking for a Facilities and Hygiene Operative to play a key role in supporting our growing site in Sandwich, Kent. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new operation where your work will make a visible impact every day.

Key Responsibilities

Hygiene & Cleaning Duties

  • Carry out daily and scheduled cleaning of production areas, offices, restrooms, canteens, and communal spaces.

  • Clean and sanitise machinery, equipment, and work surfaces in line with strict hygiene standards.

  • Ensure all cleaning activities meet HACCP, GMP, and COSHH regulations.

  • Replenish consumables (soap, towels, cleaning supplies).

  • Handle cleaning chemicals safely and maintain accurate usage logs.

  • Monitor hygiene equipment and report any faults promptly.

Facility Support Duties

  • Support waste segregation and disposal in line with environmental policies.

  • Conduct deep cleans and assist with hygiene audits.

  • Respond swiftly to ad-hoc cleaning requests from management or team members.

  • Maintain stock levels of cleaning materials and report shortages.

  • Assist with inspections and preventative maintenance measures.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a hygiene, cleaning, or facilities role (ideally in a production or industrial environment).

  • A strong understanding of hygiene and safety standards (HACCP / COSHH desirable).

  • Great attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.

  • A reliable, proactive attitude with good communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
