HRGO are recruiting for Emergency Call Handlers based in Hellesdon. Parking is available on site. These roles are an immediate start and begin with a training and mentoring period. Possibility of permanent contracts for the right candidate after assessment.

Hourly Rates: Daytime rate is £10.40, Nights and Saturdays £14.39, Sundays and Bank Holidays £17.57

Hours: 37.5 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern covering the service 24/7 with a mixture of day and night shifts. 12 hour shifts. Flexibility is required for this position.

Duties Include:

• Provide accurate assistance over the telephone using the appropriate software/triaging tools.
• Recording the relevant call details on the system accurately and timely.
• Categorising calls with regards to urgency.
• Handling personal and sensitive information confidentially.
• Dealing with challenging calls and remaining calm and professional.

Candidates require:

• Calm and confident telephone manner
• Good geographical knowledge of Norfolk and Suffolk
• A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including English
• Strong keyboard and IT skills
• Be willing to have an Enhanced DBS check undertaken
