Position: Electrical Engineer (Field based)

Hours: Monday - Friday (Days)

Salary: £Excellent

We are currently recruiting an experienced Control/Electrical Engineer to join our growing team, designing, testing, installing and commission all types of waste handling equipment including Transfer Station compactors and Fully Automatic balers.

The position is office based, in Preston, working 39 hours per week. You will need an Enhanced DBS clearance and CSCS certification will be required for the role.

In the role of a control/electrical engineer, you will be expected to provide support and knowledge to all area of the business using the following Core skills and Relevant experience

Core Skills

• Fully experienced Electrical Engineer with both design and development expertise

• Experience/Knowledge of Siemens S7/ LOGO programming and AutoCAD Electrical

• Electrical design/development of standard and bespoke machinery.

• Software design/development for standard and bespoke machinery.

• Ensure machinery electrical and control safety compliance to relevant standards.

• Compile individual machine files containing electrical schematics, electrical part lists, software, test documentation, datasheets, machine safety reports, and other relevant documents.

• Provide guidance to shop floor colleagues when necessary.

• Provide guidance to site engineers when necessary.

• Provide guidance to sales engineers when necessary.

• Work closely with mechanical design.

• Attend sites for surveys, installation planning, installations, commissioning, and breakdowns.

• Can do attitude" and elevated level of customer service skills

• Ability to provide guidance at all levels

• Full driving licence is essential

Relevant Experience

• Heavy machinery design and first-hand experience preferably hydraulically based.

• Electrical design. AutoCAD Electrical 2022.

• Software design. Siemens LOGO Soft Comfort, Step-7, TIA Portal Professional and Safety.

• Knowledge of hydraulic circuits, control, and instrumentation.

• Machinery electrical and control safety standard knowledge.

• Safety verification software. Sistema.

• Site installation and commissioning of heavy machinery.

• Full Product training will be given at our Factory in Preston.
