HRGO are recruiting for De-Icing Operatives working at the ever-expanding Luton Airport. As an De-Icing Operative you'll be responsible for ensuring that aircraft and vehicles are de-iced and in condition to operate as normal through winter. You'll be required to work outdoors at a height of up to 40ft above the ground inside the heated cab. You'll be also trained to drive vehicles and operate various De-icing equipment. Duties include: * Conducting aircraft de-icing and anti-icing activities * Ensure that the vehicles have sufficient fuel and glycol * driving * Ensure that the vehicles are clean and in good working order * communicating with Pilots and cabin crew Candidate Requirements: * Good communication skills (as you'll be required to use two-way radios) * Full Valid/Clean UK/EU driving licence * Be able to work from heights of up to 40ft * live no more than a 40-minute commute to the airport * 5-year check-able history to gain an air-side pass * Flexibility with the working hours (as these can be subject to change) * Able to work outside in all weathers. * Clean criminal record After a successful probation period you will have the opportunity to be stay on as an Air-side support operative during the Summer season (April to October) and then return as a De-icer for the following winter months. Pay: £9 per hour & an end of season De-icing bonus. Shift times: Minimum 20 hours per week with Overtime available. Mixture of morning shifts, starting from 4:30am and late shifts, starting from 1:30pm. Individual shifts lasting for a maximum of 12 hours.
