As a Customs Clearance Supervisor, your role will be to support the Customs Clearance Manager in the day to day management of the Customs Clearing team.
Main responsibilities:
Supervise the day-to-day operation for the Customs Clearance Team
Assist is the training and development of all Customs Clearing staff
Liaise closely with the Customs Clearance Team, the Customs Clearance Manager and the UK Customs Clearance Manager to ensure all customs clearances are processed efficiently and accurately
Work closely with existing customers to maintain service levels
Identify opportunities for developing value added services for existing customers
Identify and deliver opportunities from new customers to develop customs clearance revenue.
Oversee the creation, link & discharge of all Customs documents including T1, T2, T2 groupage, T2F, T2LF, NES & NCTS export entries.
Manage the use of specific custom's systems to complete all Custom's transactions. (Impatex, Destin8 & Compass, CHIEF, CDS, Sequoia, Datafreight).
Liaise with operational or sales team for day-to-day customs enquiries.
The Candidate:
Background within customs clearance and import/export is essential
Experience of supervising a team
A reasonable understanding of the law and regulations surrounding Customs Clearing requirements
5 GCSEs, at a pass mark, are desirable for this role.
Maintains lasting relationships based on trust.
Excellent IT skills are needed for this position
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially Outlook and Teams.
Must have a high level of accuracy.
The Role:
This a full-time permanent position
Salary band is £30-40k, depending on experience.
Private healthcare is available to all employees upon successful completion of probationary period.
