Technical Estimator/ Costing engineer's opportunity at this established and successful sheet metal fabrications company.

The company produce a wide range of sheet metal & machined parts and sub-assemblies for a wide range of industries to include aerospace, Automotive, medical and communications.

You will use your understanding of Sheet metal fabrication, machining shop methods and special processes to build Bill of materials and prepare detailed numerical and descriptive estimates. Ideally you will have some previous experience in a high precision industry such as aerospace.

Key parts of the role include:

• Preparing cost data for proposals and contract negotiations. Gathering proposals, specifications and other documentation.

• Supporting the sales function with effective completion of RFQ's.

• Accurately following detailed client specifications to assess labour requirements, preparing labour, material and time requirements.

• Establish quote priorities based on evaluation and analysis of overall opportunities.

• Liaising with supply chain for time and money quotations

• To maintain and update an accurate costings data base

• Preparing reports as and when requested

You should have a solid understanding of engineering drawings and Excel and have good customer and people skills.
