We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Manufacturing / Production Manager on a permanent basis in the Bishops Stortford within the kaizen influenced electro mechanical manufacturing industry.

Your main duties will include planning and organisation of production schedules, as well as participating in continuous improvement projects alongside managing and coaching the production / manufacturing team.

The Continuous Improvement Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• Previous experience working LEAN principals within in a manufacturing / assembly environment involving manual labour resources in one piece flow assembly principals

• Good knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean manufacturing methods.

• Knowledge of various assembly and manufacturing environments.

• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written

• Excellent organisational and planning skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as team

• Previous experience in Manufacture / Design Engineering advantageous, to identify efficiency gains with tooling, assembly methods, minor component design improvements and process flow opportunities, in order to implement LEAN practices for maximising output and remaining within the overall design of the machine models.

The Continuous Improvement Engineer role will involve:

• Liaising with other members of management to correct any production issues.

• Perform cost benefits and capital expenditure exercises . 　

• Carrying out Lean events such as 5S, Kaizen and process improvement techniques

• Maintaining 　records , Performing cost benefit analysis

• Coaching the Production team on increasing efficiency.

• Assuring health and safety obligations are met.
