Construction Assistant/Junior Project Surveyor
Due to continued growth, an great opportunity has arisen for a new position within an engaging and expanding family run business.
With over 30 years' experience in the Construction field, operating from the Yeovil office, the company pride themselves on ensuring they consistently deliver all schemes with an honest, professional and efficient approach.
The role would be working across a wide range of Construction projects, ranging from small refurbishment & rectification works, through to high end extensions, and new build development.
There is an opportunity for longevity, with the right candidate able to grow and develop within the role. Training can also be made available where may be required.
Working closely with, and reporting to the Commercial Manager, initially the main duties would include;
Assisting with the preparation of tenders and quotations
Measured take off's from drawings using specialist software (training will be made available)
Sending out packages to subcontractors & suppliers for pricing and chasing & checking returns
Assisting with producing Risk & Method statements
Placing orders with Subcontractors & for materials
Assisting with monthly valuations & invoicing
Assist with monitoring and quality of projects
Assist with carrying out initial site surveys
The right candidate will have the following attributes;
Great communication skills
Happy to work in a fast paced team environment
Willing to learn on-the-job & develop within the role to make it their own.
Key Skills Required
Strong IT Skills, with experience in Microsoft Excel & Word
Experience in/qualification in Construction
Hours 7.30- 4.30
Subject to experience salary will be £27k +
office based
HNC - HND - time served in construction.
