An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Conference Producer with a minimum of 1-2 year's experience in a Conference Producer role in an events team, a desire to succeed with a strong academic background, with at least a 2:1 or equivalent for one of our leading client based in Central London. You will have proven research and conference development experience, highly developed writing, editing and proofreading skills in English. Conducting online, desk and face to face research coupled with expertise in recruiting and managing speakers. You will work on a variety of commercial conferences and make you mark by developing existing events and creating new ones in a growing market. Be part of a fantastic team you will have the chance to be an integral part of this by delivering a schedule of four to five events a year that align with business priorities, respond to market demand, and drive the growth of our portfolio.
Through extensive research and the support of the policy team, you will build compelling conference programmes that attract leaders, sector stakeholders and best-in-class practitioners who wish to learn and share insights. Reporting to the production manager you will work closely with marketing sponsorship and operation teams, identify compelling messages and suitable commercial partners while ensuring operational requirements of the events are met. You will be responsible for developing and delivering virtual, hybrid and in person events. During the past year, the company have continually innovated in their event delivery, cemented their digital offering and created a virtual presence within the communities they serve.
Key elements of the role:
Be the lead producer for up to 4-5 commercial conferences (hybrid, virtual and in person).
Carry out high-quality research and develop leading-edge conference agendas that respond to the needs of our audience and sponsors.
Identify high-priority topics, leading organisations and potential speakers
Identify target audience segments and potential sponsors for each topic and conference
Develop leading-edge conference agendas that respond to the needs of our audience and sponsors
Source, test, secure and brief high-calibre speakers to deliver the talks and case studies
Assist the marketing team to identify compelling messaging and ensure communications are accurate
Assist the sponsorship team to ensure suitable sponsors are identified and targeted appropriately
Work closely with the event operations team to ensure operational requirements of the events are met
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Minimum 1-2 year experience in a commercial Conference Producer role
Strong academic background, with at least a 2:1
Commercial acumen; be astute, with an entrepreneurial spirit
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Energy, enthusiasm and desire in abundance, you will be self-motivated, pro-active and a problem solver to help achieve goals and targets
Experience in conducting in-depth desk research, phone and face-to-face interviews to scope out markets and topics
Highly-developed communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and informal networks
Highly-developed writing, editing and proofreading skills in English
The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work across teams to ensure the success of the event
The ability to prioritise, work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
Proactive and enthusiastic, with a professional and can-do attitude
