We are looking for a Complaints Officer for a public-sector organisation based in Oxford. This is a temporary role for around 3 months.
As a Complaints Officer, you will be:
· Acting as Complaints Officer for Local Authorities Social Service Complaints Regulations 2006, and the Children's Act 1989 Representations Procedure Regulations 2006
· Liaising with other teams to assist with complaints received via the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman to minimise risk of any maladministration
· Advising and assisting managers to achieve resolutions for difficult corporate and statutory complaints
· Provide information to the Complaints Manager on outcomes from complaints to assist with quality assurance and to inform continuous improvement cycles
You will need to have:
· Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies
· Experience with handling complex issues and/or complaints
· The ability to use spreadsheets and databases to analyse and report on data, trends and themes
· A degree/professional qualification or relevant experience
The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to working hours and the provision of out of hours advice.
