Classic Car Restoration Technician, Mechanic Stable Temp to Perm position Located in the Cambourne area (Cambridgeshire) A Classic Car Restoration Technician, Mechanic is required to remove and refit parts to facilitate vehicle body repairs to restore prestigious classic cars. This is working for a bespoke busy, business and we require applicants to be versatile and willing to tackle all areas of bodywork restoration. The ideal candidate must have previous industry experience a good attention to detail. This opportunity would suit a person who has a keen interest in classic cars to point that you really enjoy working on restoration project on classic cars. We are looking for the right person who has good experience restoring cars and with some mechanical experience. This will include repairing bodywork, the preparation of vehicles for spraying, painting bodywork, the removal and re-fitment of trims prior to and post paintwork, polishing new and old paintwork. Candidates will need to be skilled in car body restoration including welding, metal fabrication, Spraying, accident repair, alignment of body panels prior to fitting and some mechanical repairs and servicing. Skills required: * Dismantling to rebuilding. * Welding and fabrication. * Mechanical repair * Panel beating. * Body repairing. * Strip and fitting * Preparation and paint work * Re-spraying. * Other related tasks as required. Qualifications: Qualifications are not essential for the right person providing you can demonstrate that you have the relevant experience. It would an advantage if you have the following qualifications. Apprenticeship with: * NVQ levels 1/2/3 - City & Guilds Vehicle Maintenance / Repair * VRQ level 2 Diploma - 120 credits. Or * VCQ Diploma levels 1/2/3 Or * Mechanical, IMI level 1/2/3 Diploma Vehicle Maintenance / Repair Or Equivalent Qualifications You would need to bring to the work shop good attributes such as, good punctuality / attendance / enthusiasm and attitude. You would be working in a close team of 2 skilled mechanics Rate Guide: starting rate £12.00 - £12.50 p/hr, Overtime paid at time and a half. Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 12.00 noon finish on a Friday Location: Cambourne , St. Neots area Applicants will need to have their own transport due the company's rural location.
