HRGO Recruitment are currently recruiting a number of HGV Drivers for the Newcastle area. Details will include:- You will be working in the item service delivery department, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the loading of bar and catering equipment from our location onto one of our 17 tonne rigid vehicles then driving this to another location which is on site. Due to the physical nature of the role you will be required to do a lot of lifting, bending and stretching with only a small percentage of your time spent driving. The role will also require you to liaise with other personnel that we serve, to facilitate the transfer of catering equipment to and from your vehicle. Contracts are for up to 40 hours per week, working shifts on a rota basis and will include a mixture of evening and weekends so flexibility towards working hours is vital. What we require from you:- Category C1 (Class 2) Driving Licence no more than 6 points Full CPC Own transport is an advantage in terms with the working hours You must have a flexible and enthusiastic approach to work No criminal convictions (A DBS will be carried out before work commences) You will be expected to complete a full application pack on behalf of our client and complete a basic literacy and numeracy test, and to also provide a full 5 year referencing history with all gaps in employment explained and verified, which is normally a 4 week process.
