Children's Residential Support Worker - Full Time - Exeter, Devon

HR GO Recruitment require staff with a social care or children's support worker background to work in a children's residential care home in Exeter, Devon. The home has a fantastic support structure in place and is very well resourced to allow staff to give the children the best possible support and care.

The suitable Children's Residential Support Worker will be working with children with challenging behaviour & social and emotional issues so a calm, understanding nature is important.

The child/ren are aged 11-17 years and you will be expected to support them in all aspects of daily life including helping with homework and accompanying to and from some appointments and school.

The Role

2 X Residential Support Workers - Full time

3 X 14-hour shifts + 1 sleep in per week

Temp to perm option for the right candidate

MAPA training

£9.50-£10ph

Essential

L3 NVQ Childcare (or equivalent i.e., L3 children's social care, health & social care)

12 months previous Experience as children's support worker/residential support worker

The successful Children's Residential Support Worker must also have a calm, patient nature, while being resilient and compassionate. You will need to be adaptable and flexible and, be able to develop good relationships with the children and young people that you are working with.
