Hrgo are looking for a Cook/Chef in Dover. You must be experienced in catering, reliable and be able to work on a shift rota, averaging 32 hours per week, over a 6 week period, longer hours also available. Key job responsibilities * Operate your own shift service with food preparation and the cooking of meals to order * Assist with menu planning, scheduling and preparation of daily special dishes * Participate in the monitoring of stock levels and ordering processes in accordance with best practice, using relevant, authorised suppliers and report on their performance * Explore opportunities for cost savings and any increases in profitability * Ensure quality, uniformity and consistency for customers * Assist the catering assistants with training and development, incorporating best practice with customer service, sales and up selling * Clean the kitchen during and after your service, ensuring equipment, appliances and fixtures are cleaned and maintained, including beer lines to bar area * Maintain, monitor and ensure hygiene practices, processes and rules are followed always and keep and maintain records in accordance with EHO requirements This role is based on a seven-day rota over 6 weeks, paying £8.91 per hour.
