An exciting opportunity to join a market leading group that has some very recognised brands within it. Based very close to London Bridge station the clients head office is easily accessible. Reporting to the Head of Spend, you will be responsible for delivering an effective strategy throughout the group that champions the drive to reduce costs aligned with improved business practices in partnership with the key suppliers whilst ensuring company strategic and operational objectives are met. Responsibilities * Buying responsibility for a selection of categories * Managing inflation, through negotiation and sourcing new opportunities * Manage contracts - Negotiation and completion of contracts for each category with clear KPIs identified to drive and deliver business and cost efficiency's across the group * Manage multiple projects - short, medium and long term * Deliver compliance of contract terms through engagement and commitment of stakeholders and the senior management team * Revenue and cost budgeting Requirements * Preferably CIPS qualified * Strong negotiation skills * Proven track record of strategic purchasing/category management * Flexible , willing to learn and able to work in a fast moving and demanding environment This is a permanent position and the hours of work are Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:30 The salary being offered is £35,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience.
