We are currently recruiting for a Career Advisor to work on a temporary assignment for a call centre in Newcastle City Centre. You must have a Level 4 qualification (in any subject) to be considered for the position. The is an exciting opportunity to work on a national helpline providing careers information, advice and guidance to citizens.
Successful candidates will help provide expert information and an enthusiastic service to citizens to allow them to gain positive outcomes in learning, employment, training, apprenticeships and volunteering. Using a range of multimedia contact channels including webchat, phone, SMS and email, you will provide information to citizens on a one-to-one basis.
Extensive training will be provided to ensure you are in a position to empower and inspire citizens to achieve their career goals. Successful candidates will be expected to work 37.5 hours per week over a range of shifts between 8am and 10pm Monday to Sunday.
Your key responsibilities will include;

Work within defined quality guidelines and maintain good practices at all times |
|
Access and research information sought by the callers quickly and accurately |
|
Accurately collate and record caller information for use in management information reports |
|
Develop and maintain an interest in related topical issues and those likely to affect contact |
|
Deliver specialist subject matter training, as appropriate |
|
Assess caller needs either directly or as a referral and either meet these needs or refer to another agency or to a specialist |
|
Undertake administration and other tasks required relevant to working environment |
