HRGO are currently supporting a market leading global manufacturing business in their search for a Buyer.
This is a full time permanent position and the hours of work are Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 and Friday 08:00 - 13:30, Nice early finish on a Friday!
Salary: Negotiable (dependent on experience)
Purpose of the role:
Reporting directly to the Operations Director you will be responsible for supplier management, working to procurement strategy, negotiating contracts and purchasing stock whilst keeping a close eye on cost effectiveness.
Duties include:
Analyse reports and other sources to identify purchasing requirements & raise/expedite purchase orders as appropriate.
Negotiate with suppliers of materials, products and services to achieve cost savings, mitigate price increases whilst maintaining levels of service and quality.
Regularly review supplier performance.
Control inventory levels of raw materials.
Oversea the stores team.
Assist with stocktaking and sample checking.
Maintain an updated supplier list and distribute to appropriate staff members.
Ensure that the materials, products and services are purchased at the best possible value and within budget or quotation.
