Salary up to $180k per annum

Are you looking for a Business Development Manager role in Melbourne? Do you have a strong understanding of the IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic) and medical device markets and a track record of winning and providing consulting services to clients? Currently enjoying a period of continuous growth, our client now needs an accomplished Business Development Manager, based in Australia, but responsible for meeting global revenue goals.

The Role

In this BDM role, you will be identifying, negotiating and nurturing new business relationships and growing business with existing clients to achieve revenue and profit targets aligned to the company's strategic plan. A significant amount of your time will be spent supporting the digital aspects of US / EU opportunities remotely from Melbourne when not travelling. You will be comfortable conversing with C-level executives and preparing material to win work. You will be able to not only provide motivational leadership to the BD Team as part of your role but also to personally learn and grow along with the organisation, be willing to operate in a hands-on and dynamic environment and maintain significant personal client engagement for key accounts. You will need to develop an in-depth knowledge of products and have the ability to converse with clients around technology, assay, process and chemistry.

Skills and experience

With at least ten years' experience in a similar role across industries such as Health, Utilities and Infrastructure, delivering end to end sales, you'll have:

* Experience in managing and leading teams

* Client facing sales experience in a services industry

* Demonstrated understanding of digital health solutions and experience working with medical device and diagnostic companies and/or IoT solutions in other industries

* Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO13485 and FDA QSR regulations

* Advanced negotiation, networking, business development and sales skills

* High level of interpersonal and communication skills

* Ability to work remotely and to travel within Australia and internationally

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as engineering or computer science
