We are looking for a motivated and driven Business Development Manager to cover the South of the UK. This role offers a great deal of variety and it includes a mix external sales and office management, the successful candidate will need to have fantastic interpersonal and influencing skills as you will be liaising with senior decision makers and executive level customers. Key responsibilities * Produce complex bid documents for large tenders * Coach the sales team to success and offer training and development to ensure a consistent approach across the team * Identify sales opportunities by building rapport with prospect & existing clients * Offering outstanding service to all customers whilst displaying a real knowledge for the companies services * Site meetings to not only meet the client but to get specific requirements for tenders * Attend exhibitions/events to build a strong network of industry contacts Person specification * A driven self motivated individual * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal * Real passion for winning business and exceeding targets * A hands on approach to managing a team * Excellent IT skills including Word, Outlook and Powerpoint & AutoCAD (Other systems can be trained internally) * Experience in the construction industry is essential The benefits * Basic salary £40,000 - £50,000 (depends on experience) plus commission OTE £65k * Company car, laptop & phone * Private health care * Company pension scheme (with a generous contribution from the client)
