BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - NEW BUSINESS
The BDM New Business Role is key to the successful organic growth of my client. As an experienced business development manager you will be driven and motivated to sell the full catalogue of my clients products in a targeted strategical manner.
t is vital you understand the importance of achieving the company targets and align your individual strategy to achieve this. You will have the opportunity to work with some
£40,00 - £55,000 Basic salary plus an uncapped OTE starting at £500- realistic earnings £60k plus
This is an office based/ remote and on the road role
Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5 pm

Primary responsibilities:
Identifying new sales leads
Pitching Blake products and/or services
Maintaining relationships with existing customers ensuring growth through cross sell and up sell where possible
Capitalise on existing sales leads and opportunities
To generate sales leads, day-to-day activities include:
Researching organisations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets
Researching the needs of other companies and learning who makes purchasing decisions
Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings
Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
Other activities include:
Contacting clients to inform them about new developments in the company's products
Developing quotes and proposals
Negotiating and renegotiating by phone, email, and in person
Contributing to the development of stretching but realistic sales goals and ensuring they are met
Working closely with the Sales team to ensure smooth take on of new customers and effective handling of existing customer
Write reports and provide feedback to management
Qualities/Skills Required
Good with numbers
Good communicator
Be self-starting and willing to take the initiative
Strong communication and IT fluency
The ability to communicate at a high level internally and externally
Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems
In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events
The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines

Excellent time management and organisation
