Business Analyst - Institutional Banking / Business Development
To support the Senior / Relationship Managers in driving the IB business strategy with a view to managing existing FI relationships and enhancing the profitability of the unit in accordance with the Banks Risk Appetite, budget projections, targets markets and global strategy.
Primary Responsibilities of Role:
Develop relationships with the relevant individuals in Bank and Non-Bank FI Relationships towards enhancing service delivery.
Assess client's needs and refer them to relevant departments within the bank for follow-up.
To ensure service delivery remains at a high standard - prompt (within the day) response to customer enquiries.
Efficient approval of new KYC by Compliance Risk Rating process to enable new relationships to be established in a timely manner.
Assist the Senior Relationship Manager in identifying and targeting new FI relationships in Africa?
Promote cross-selling of the Bank's products to new and existing accounts.
Completion of annual KYB process via credit reviews to be completed.
Daily monitoring of Info view reports and follow-up with the clients to keep any delays to the minimum.
Daily transaction monitoring of accounts to be completed.
Daily processing of loan liquidations subject to receipt of funds.
Daily processing of direct loan requests, along with checking of supporting documents in line with trade finance and compliance procedures.
Professional/Academic Qualifications:
Essential: University Degree
Desirable: Minimum Second-Class lower holder in Business Admin, Economics, Accountancy, Finance or related subject matter.
Experience/Knowledge:
Essential: Customer Service; Flexcube Knowledge; KYC & KYB requirements
Desirable: Credit Analysis Skills
Functional/Technical Skills:
Essential: Word Document, Flexcube Knowledge
Desirable: Spreading of Audited Financial Statements for Banks
Interpersonal Skills:
Essential: Communication skills (written and verbal)
Desirable: Negotiation Skills
