Bristol Airport - Baggage handler

£11 per hour +holiday pay

You will be given a rota to work 5 days a week. These can be variable days and you will also be required to work some weekends. Pay rate is £10.50 per hour. This position will require you to be physically fit due to heavy, repetitive lifting of items up to 35 kg.

There are variable shifts to choose from:

Mornings 6am until 2pm

Afternoons 2pm until 10pm

Nights 10pm until 6am

Baggage Handler Duties:

Load and unload aircraft luggage weighing up to 35 Kilos

Be able to work in confined spaces and from heights

Responsible for maintaining safety and security of the ramp at all times Monitor Customer safety during boarding/offloading of aircraft and assist Customers where necessary

Transfer of baggage

Observe safe ground handling procedures and maintenance of ground handling equipment, including the performance of equipment checks

Comply with all safety procedures

Communicate with Operations, Flight Crew personnel and other ground personnel.

Candidates Must:

Provide a full 5 year checkable history on registration

Provide a basic Disclosure Scotland Criminal Record Check

Have no criminal record, or any unspent convictions

Be willing to work all assigned shifts covering a 24 hour operation, including weekends and bank holidays

Be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the UK

Have current and valid photo ID

Have proof of NI Number

Successful candidates will be required to provide 5 years of work references as well as have DBS check on update service or be willing to apply for one through us.
