Beach Warden/Jetty Attendant 
Berrow/Burnham-on-Sea
£10.41 per hour starting rate with annual increments

HRGO is delighted to work in partnership with Sedgemoor District Council in providing Beach Wardens and Jetty Attendants for the rural beach of Berrow as well as Burnham-on-Sea in Somerset.

The beaches are operational from 9am-6pm every day and the beach warden staff cover this by working within a rota system. This current position is likely to offer 3 - 5 shifts per week however you will need to be flexible to work any day including weekends.

This is a seasonal position from April - September with the potential of future seasons.

As a Beach Warden/Jetty Attendant, you will help to keep the beaches a safe place for the public to enjoy, enforcing legislation relating to dogs, litter and dealing with anti-social behaviour issues when required.

Key areas of responsibilities will include:

• Collection of car parking fees at Berrow beach

• Patrol and operation of designated beach areas

• Provision of first aid if required - Full training will be provided

• Upholding of relevant by-laws

• Inspection of safety equipment on the beach

• Assisting with beach cleanliness

Requirements: 

• Excellent customer care and communication skills

• Flexibility on hours to be able to any day including weekends

• Full driving licence

• Able to demonstrate previous customer facing roles

• Able to provide work history for referencing

• Existing First Aid qualification an advantage
