HR GO Eduction are working with a secondary school in the Derby area. They require an Assistant SENCO to work within their SEND department, supporting their children and families for children needing additional learning support and educational healthcare plans.

Assistant SENCO - £90 - £140 per day

The ideal candidate will have

• Experience working as an Assistant Senco or SENCO
• Experience working with children and families of SEND students
• Have experience working with EHC plans
• Have worked with authorities re children with SEND
• Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to have one processed at your own cost

The role

• Working alongside the SENCO, providing support to the whole of the secondary school SEND pupils
• Deal with all paperwork and EHC plans, putting additional learning needs in place for students and liaising with their families
• Work with students and their teachers and support staff to enable they get the correct level of additional support to support their EHC plans
• Work with families of children within the provision
• Work with relevant authorities to support SEND students

Hours of work

• Monday to Friday 8.30am - 4pm
