A vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor based in Sheffield for a well established contractor. Working alongside the operational team you will be required to: * Already be working within a busy QS environment * Consult and resolve any costings gained and queried. * Estimating will be part of this role * Assist the senior QS with any issues * Confirm budgets and set up a Cost Value Report which you must keep updated, ideally weekly. * Report direct to the MD you will be expected to attend regular meetings to keep them up to date with costings. * You shall also be required to approve subcontractor and materials invoices.This vacancy is available immediately and would be ideal for somebody who has been within a similar environment for a year or two or in their last year of university with the relevant work experience.
