HRGO are recruiting for Aircraft De-icers (Sprayers Only) working at the ever-expanding Luton Airport. As an Aircraft De-icer you'll be responsible for ensuring that aircraft and vehicles are De-iced and in condition to operate as normal through winter. You'll be required to work outdoors at a height of up to 40ft above the ground inside the heated cab.

Duties include:

• Conducting Aircraft De-icing and anti-icing activities

• Ensure that the vehicles have sufficient fuel and glycol

• Ensure that the vehicles are clean and in good working order

• communicating with Pilots and cabin crew

Candidate Requirements:

• Good communication skills (as you'll be required to use two-way radios)

• Be able to work from heights of up to 40ft

• live no more than a 40-minute commute to the airport

• 5-year check-able history to gain an air-side pass

• Flexibility with the working hours (as these can be subject to change)

• Able to work outside in all weathers.

• Clean criminal record

After a successful probation period you will have the opportunity to be stay on as an air-side support operative during the Summer season (April to October) and then return as a De-icer for the following winter months.

Pay:

£8.50 per hour (Increases to £9 per hour after 12 weeks) + an end of season De-icing bonus.

Shift times:

Minimum 25 hours per week with Overtime available. Mixture of morning shifts, starting from 3:00am and late shifts, starting from 1:30pm. Individual shifts lasting for a maximum of 12 hours.
