Aerospace Planning and Inventory Controller Opportunity to join this major, global aerospace business, fulfilling a role with a large degree of autonomy, overseeing inventory and planning activities. Working within the hardware department and utilising the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning processes (SIOP), you will use your excellent interpersonal and project management skills to optimise profitability, working capital and customer satisfaction. This essential role demands effective collaboration with colleagues working within the supply chain and analysis of supplier performance. You will continually review and improve processes to ensure department targets are not only met but exceeded. Tasks include: * Assessment of supply and demand issues and implementation of solutions, positively impacting scrap reduction targets. * Evaluating and recommending optimum inventory levels, addressing any overlap or shortfall and ensuring appropriate escalation of issues to ensure business objectives are met. * Identifying and exploiting opportunities for improvement, whilst maintaining all standards of best practice * Working closely with SIOP to create acceptable, realistic volume forecasts The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level in supply chain management or other relevant field of study. You will have an employment background in supply chain / procurement, which demonstrates a progression of responsibilities. You will ideally be, or working towards, CIPS accreditation and will have practical experience of ERP systems. You will be able to evidence your tactical and strategic planning ability, and project management skills.
