Administrative functions:
-Computer based internal & external systems
-Telephone enquiries / undertake outbound customer service calls
- Preparation of legislative paperwork and external quotations
-Tender preparation for national contracts
Technical functions-
-Compliance from the EA- producer returns, WTN's, con notes, EPR, IPPC
-Weighbridge: gain experience and knowledge
-Accounting: Sage systems, invoicing, month end reporting, enquiries
Background knowledge of customer type, waste and disposal points to operationally support
site staff and optimise the functionality of the facility.

What you'll do
As the Clinical Administrator you will provide multifunctional administrative support for
clinical, pharmaceutical, hazardous, and industrial waste disposal sectors and
Secure Destruction Services (SDS). This role focuses upon compliance with the
Environmental Agency for the Environmental Permitting Regulations at the ERF Facility,
providing administrative support duties not limited to (including customer pre-acceptance
documentation following HTM07 and the living guidance from the EA), quotations
preparation, assistance in tender preparation, filing, handling customer queries via email and
phone and general duties required to help maintain a busy waste administrative office.
You will also be required to undertake outbound customer service calls, contacting clients
and prospects.
You will report to the Clinical Sales Team leader, this role works closely with other
administrative team members on a continuous basis and closely with the Secure Destruction
Manager regarding sales and customer support.
Close working relationships with operational teams (waste destruction processes) and
weighbridge teams (acceptance of waste) requiring the development of strong working
relationships often in a fast moving and busy environment.
Customer relationship skills are crucial, requiring strong customer ethos for both internal and
external customers, liaising with staff
About your knowledge, skills and experience
To enable you to carry out this role you will be an organised, disciplined and structured
individual with strong process and detailed focus. You will possess strong IT knowledge and
skills across a range of office packages and specialist internal systems
(weighbridge/sales/accounts)
You will have good communications skills across a range of situations and environments with
a knowledge of Waste Regulations and Clinical Waste industry being an advantage.
It would be very advantageous for you to have customer service / sales experience of
contacting and dealing with customers.
